Shri Ganesh Shikshan Mandal was founded in 1992 with the aim to serve the society by imparting Education. The Mandal started Nagaji Maharaj Shaaririk Shikshan Mahavidyalaya. The students for B.P.Ed. one-year course were admitted to the college from 1993-94 session and the students for B.P.E. 3-year course were admitted to the college from 1994-95 session. Some of the students after completing their B.P.Ed./B.P.E. course have secured good position in service.

Our founder member Shri Ashok N. Wankhede and the Managing Committee then decided to offer new facilities to cater the need of society in 1999-2000. The Mandal started the course of Library and Information Science B. Lib. Sci in 2000-2001 the society started Master's Degree Course in Library Science. The college is run on "NO GRANT" basis with due approval from Government of Maharashtra and is affiliated to Nagpur University. The college provides good Library and Sports facilities. Besides class room teaching individual guidance is provided so that the students are benefited a lot.

Mandal's motive is to deliver the best to the students which is tries to achieve by appointing highly qualified and excellent teaching staff. With the introduction of these courses in the college such students have been provided an excellent opportunity to carry out their career in the emerging area of Library and Information Science.

We have now entered into an information era and are advancing towards our information society : Computers have invaded all fields of life and it is essential that one should get familiar with computers and their application. Realizing this need the college has now started new courses in this emerging area. The college conducts following courses as per requirement of the Nagpur University.
