PRIDES
offers a wide range of choices for study
at various levels addressing students of
all ages and backgrounds. Our students
feel welcomed and supported with a
curriculum that responds to and respects
the diverse needs of our mixed student
population.
A Unique Multidisciplinary Approach
PRIDES deems that the entire exercise of
arriving at an appropriate course choice
is far more important than what you
choose to study and where you choose to
study. It is for this reason that we
allow you ample space to explore various
career options not only at the time of
entry but after it as well.
At PRIDES, we stress greatly on
inter-disciplinary and multidisciplinary
skills. We strongly believe that in the
competitive global world, success comes
to those who have imbibed the ethos of
flexibility and adaptability. Our
module-based programs mean a great deal
of study-flexibility. You can specialize
or keep your options wide open.
Our unique approach to student learning
prepares you for the challenges of life
and work. The aim is to help you fulfill
your intellectual and personal potential
in a way that it significantly
contributes to each and every role that
you play in society. |
We
offer a wide range of choices for study
at various levels catering to a
cross-section of students of all ages
and backgrounds. In fact, we encourage
students from different backgrounds.
This contributes to an exciting learning
environment for both staff and students.
Our students feel welcomed and
supported, with a curriculum that
responds to and respects the
diversity and needs of our mixed student
population.
Undergraduate Courses
Undergraduates at PRIDES can register
for a professional degree course
resulting in the award of a Bachelor's
degree (BA, BEng, BSc) from U.G.C REG.
University.
The undergraduate courses are pursued
full time and last for three or four
years depending on the award. Courses
where industry internships play a role
are of four years duration. You also
have the benefit of opting for a summer
school at any one of the universities in
UK or US with which Rai University has
an understanding of cooperation.
The UNIVERSITY also offers a host of
Graduate Professional Diplomas at PRIDES
and honors levels in a wide varieties of
disciplines which are of one year and
two year duration respectively.
Postgraduate Courses
If you are seeking to add a professional
advantage to your qualification you
could register for a range of
postgraduate degrees as well as
professional diplomas at PRIDES. Courses
leading to a Masters award (MA, MSc,
MEng, PGDBM) last for two years. The
exhaustive range of Postgraduate
Professional Diplomas are of both one
and two years duration.
Combination Courses
Most PRIDES Scholars pursue a Graduate
Professional Diploma (GPD) or a
Postgraduate Professional Diploma (PGPD)
alongside their degree to gain that
professional advantage a combined honors
program offers. For instance students
simultaneously pursue a BBA degree with
a GPD (Hons) in Advertising or a Masters
in Engineering with a PGPD in Computing.
As a result, the combined honors
program, which leads to dual
qualifications, is completed within the
duration of the degree itself. Also, a
student enroled for a one year GPD
program can upgrade to the two year GPD
(Hons) program. Such concurrent pursuits
enable our students not only to meet
industry challenges but also customize
their curriculum in keeping with the
demands of the processional workforce.
Research
High quality teaching is unequivocally a
product of high quality research.
Nowhere is this more apparent than in
the University's approach to higher
education bestowed on it by its strong
industry background and focus.
Excellent infrastructure and facilities
are available at PRIDES for doctoral
research in a wide range of disciplines.
While undergraduate education prepares
ground for developing knowledge and
skills for employment in various areas
postgraduate study plays a key role in
inculcating a stance towards life-long
learning. Significant research projects
pursued both by students and faculty
involve vast interaction with the
industry.
